What we built in August 2026: Getting to the right care, faster

Getting a member into the right kind of care is harder than it sounds. The type of care, the right provider, the right moment to surface it; there are a lot of places where that could break down before a member ever books an appointment. August's releases close those gaps. Here's what we built.

The right recommendation at the right moment

What we built: High-acuity members finishing an assessment now see medication care alongside therapy on the results page, with a plain-language explanation of why. Members who may benefit from medication care also receive a follow-up email after their assessment, timed to their acuity level.

Why it matters for employers: Most psychiatric medication prescribed to the workforce is written by primary care physicians who have never spoken with the person's therapist. When Spring Health surfaces medication care at the assessment, a member who needs it gets matched to a psychiatric specialist with full visibility into their care, not a prescription written without that context.

The AI angle: Spring Health's assessment identifies the right care for each member, including when medication belongs in the picture. A member whose results indicate clinical need sees it recommended before they leave the page, based on what their answers show.

A clearer next step every time a member returns

What we built: When a member opens Spring Health, they now see the most relevant next step for them, whether that’s rebooking a session, completing a reassessment, or learning about medication care. The recommendation is personal to the member based on where they are in their care journey.

Why it matters for employers: The hardest moment in care is often between appointments. A clear next step keeps members from dropping off before they’ve improved.

A fuller picture for Specialty Care Navigators

What we built: Specialty Care Navigators now receive an AI-generated session briefing before each appointment, including the most recent note from every member of the care team, plus diagnosis, treatment plan goals, and relevant measures.

Why it matters for employers: Members in Specialty Care often have multiple providers involved in their care. When the navigator arrives with the full picture, the session starts in the right place and members get more out of it.

The AI angle: The briefing pulls from notes across the entire care team (therapist, medication manager, coach, peer recovery support, skills mentor, and Specialty Care Navigator) and surfaces what's relevant for that appointment. It's the same pre-session briefing technology extended to the most complex cases on the platform.

Unified search for every market

What we built: Unified Search on the Explore tab is now available to members globally. All Spring Health members can search in plain language and get results across the self-care library and available care options in their market, filtered by country, language, and benefit eligibility.

Why it matters for employers: Global benefits leaders want a consistent experience for every employee, regardless of where they are. Unified search gives international members the same ability to find care and self-guided content as US members: one experience, across every market.

The AI angle: The search uses semantic matching to understand what a member means, not just what they typed. A search for "I can't sleep" or "parenting stress" surfaces relevant content and care options, not just results with those exact words.

More signal, better matching

What we built: Providers can now add more to their profiles, including an FAQ bio, personal background and shared experiences, top specialties, years of experience, certifications, and relevant personal details. Members see more of who a provider is before they book.

Why it matters for employers: The right provider fit drives rebooking and continuity. When members have more to go on before they book, they choose with more confidence and stay in care long enough to improve.

The AI angle: Spring Health's matching system uses these profile signals alongside clinical data to surface the right provider for each member. More depth in a profile means a better match, and a member who feels good about who they're seeing is more likely to come back.

How we know it works

Outcomes depend on members getting to the right care and staying in it. August's releases reduce the friction at every step, from the assessment that shapes a member's care path, to the provider they match with, to the session itself. When care keeps moving, the results follow.
