What support can include

Support can show up in different ways

‍

Some support happens in a conversation. Some can help in the middle of a stressful day. Some can give you tools to try on your own.

Your personalized program can bring these pieces together in a way that works for you.

Specialized 1:1 therapy

Meet virtually with a therapist who is an expert in alcohol and substance use concerns. Therapy gives you dedicated time to look at what's working, what isn't, and what you want to shift. You can talk openly about your experiences and build skills that support the changes you want to make.

  • Understanding what drives drinking/substance use
  • Setting goals that feel realistic for you
  • Identifying triggers and ways to handle them
  • Managing relationships and social situations

Peer support

Peer support gives you the chance to connect with someone who has lived experience with substance and/or alcohol use. A Peer Recovery Specialist can offer encouragement, help you stay connected to your goals, and share practical perspective from their own journey. For some people, it helps to talk with someone who understands that change can come with setbacks, questions, and progress worth recognizing.

Medication care

Medication may be a helpful part of care for some people. If it makes sense for your needs, you can meet with a prescribing clinician to learn about medications that can help with alcohol or substance use specifically, as well as options for other mental health medications. Together, you can talk through whether medication could support the changes you want to make.

Digital lessons and activities

Digital lessons and activities give you practical, evidence-based tools to use outside of appointments. They're short, self-guided, and available when you need them. Each lesson includes a brief video about a new skill, a follow up exercise to put it into practice, and a journal prompt. You can work through them at your own pace and come back to them as often as you want.

You'll work through topics like:

  • Goal setting
  • Mindfulness
  • Managing difficult emotions
  • Coping strategies
  • Trigger awareness
