Real stories, real change

I used to spend $600 a month on THC products and my relationship with my wife was really suffering. After working with my Peer Recovery Specialist, I'm on a new path of recovery that's feeling really good for the first time in a while.

Participating in the program has provided me with the tools to continue my sobriety and to overcome potential obstacles. Being able to have a strong support system, including Peer Support, Care Navigator, and mental health providers have given me the security and confidence to seek help with any of my personal and professional issues.

This program has had a tremendous impact on my life. In about a year, I have been able to quit all substances, and am meeting several milestones. I am excited to continue on my journey and get further into sobriety and to help others along my way.

What's been most helpful is identifying ways I can handle my stress, without affecting my recovery process. This program is also helping me develop a healthier relationship with having a drink of alcohol—limiting it to only social gatherings or moments where I am not too emotionally wound up.

The gentle guidance works. I am not in denial about my situation and am actively trying to get out. I take this program seriously knowing it is helping me.

The most helpful aspect has been getting my challenges out in the open with my wife and my two daughters and having the guidance of the program to cope and manage.

I am getting the support that I need to continue to abstain from drinking alcohol. I am learning new methods to continue my journey of sobriety and better living, which has improved my life physically and emotionally. The program is AWESOME!

I am actually recovering for the 1st time with counseling. In the past it never worked. The homework suggestions have been truly inspiring and doable. I feel hopeful and am accomplishing my goals with Jessica's help. She's amazing!!
