New York, NY — November 11, 2025 — Spring Health, the technology leader in behavioral health, announced today it is expanding its proven mental health platform to serve more health plans nationwide. This will empower health plans to deliver faster access to high-quality care and lower total medical spend. Building on its success with employers, Spring Health built a more refined offering that includes in-person and virtual care options as well as self-guided tools to eligible health plan members across the country.

Since 2016, Spring Health has delivered personalized behavioral health care for organizations and individuals. Its technology powers care for millions of individuals through employer-sponsored benefits and supports health plan members through partnerships today. The nationwide expansion of Spring Health’s newly tailored solution for health plans will extend high-quality behavioral health care, through a more curated set of services, to millions more members. This underscores the company’s commitment to making care more effective, affordable, and accessible for all.

Amid unprecedented demand for behavioral health services, the need for high-quality, cost-effective care has become urgent. In just two years, outpatient behavioral health visits have increased by 40 percent and inpatient care by 80 percent. Behavioral health is now a top driver of the rising medical costs, which are projected to grow another 10 to 20 percent in 2026. To ensure health plan members have access to effective behavioral health services while keeping costs manageable, leaders are exploring alternatives to traditional providers and considering new market entrants.

Spring Health is the only technology-powered behavioral health provider proven to deliver both clinical and financial results at scale. A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that members showed clinical improvement in as few as five to six sessions. Separately, the Validation Institute conducted and validated the largest and longest behavioral health study of its kind, spanning four years and nearly 32,000 members. The study found a $2,430 net reduction in total per-member medical spend within the first year. Together, these findings show unmatched, long-term clinical and financial impact in behavioral health.

“Our goal has always been to meet the needs of all health plans,” said Todd Hill, Senior Vice President of Payer Strategy at Spring Health. “That includes those looking to enhance their existing behavioral health networks with a provider who can deliver both outcomes and access. This expansion ensures that more members receive timely, effective care while plans see measurable reductions in total medical spend.”

Several health plans across the country already have the solution, giving more than 12 million members access to effective, easy-to-use behavioral health care. Built on nearly a decade of outcomes data and powered by a nationwide network of high-performing clinicians, the platform continuously adapts treatment plans in real time to ensure consistent, measurement-based care and reliable results.
