Who We Are
Our team members are a source of inspiration and support. There is an openness to collaborating cross functionally and communicating openly at Spring Health. We don’t have all of the answers yet, but we have the intent, action, and resources to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace with team member health in mind.

OUR VISION HAS REMAINED CONSISTENT FROM DAY ONE
Help individuals and organizations thrive by eliminating every barrier to mental healthcare.
Embrace diverse teams and perspectives
Diversity makes us stronger. Whether its differences in background, perspective, ethnicity, race, gender, sexuality, age, or religion, we go beyond just having diverse talent—we work intentionally to support and amplify diverse voices around a table.
Move fast to change lives
We move quickly and intentionally to minimize suffering and do right by members. We make decisions courageously and swiftly, especially when those decisions are easily reversible. Knowing that work often fills the time allotted, we hold ourselves accountable to ambitious yet realistic timelines. We use the 80/20 rule and don't let perfect be the enemy of the good.
Candor with care
We believe in the power of candor to promote clarity and reduce friction, confusion, and stress. We do not refrain from speaking truth–including speaking truth to power–and we aim to do so with care and positive intent. We speak up when we don't understand or agree with each other, and deliver feedback with empathy, kindness, and genuine concern for others. Even when honesty may feel uncomfortable, we are direct and transparent–but always with care.
Employee Resource Groups

¡Viva Spring! is a new ERGs of January 2023 and we have around 40 members. Our mission is to connect through shared cultural values, experiences, and perspectives by celebrating our roots and cultivating an environment that elevates our communities' diverse identities and voices through personal and professional growth. As a proactive group, we seek to increase awareness and eliminate cultural barriers to advance inclusivity and diversity through action, and provide fair access to career advancement, mentorship opportunities, and recognition for our communities. ¡Viva Spring! Welcomes all team members that identify as LatinX, Afro-LatinX, Indigenous-LatinX, Asian-LatinX, Hispanic, Spanish, and Portuguese, as well as allies!
Spring Together has over 50 team members who honor cultural, racial, and gendered intersectionality in a collaborative space. They advocate and stand for inclusivity for those who feel they are straddling lines of identities, to address the emotional impact of social oppression.
For our LGBTQIA* team members
OutSpring has over 80 members with a mission to create a safe and open space for LGBTQ+ employees and their allies in order to learn and grow together in an inclusive environment. At its core, OutSpring believes that all employees, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression, should be able to bring their authentic selves to their place of work.
For team members that are parents or having caregiving responsibilities
OffSpring has 90 team members. Our mission: create a safe and open space for parents, team members and their allies, while eliminating barriers they may face in the workforce. Our ultimate goal is to help empower team members with skills and knowledge that help master challenges related to being a parent and/or caregiver.
Our DEI Task Force is a group of 9 team members across orgs and levels that provide education, initiatives, accountability, and ERG oversight for a true inclusive, diverse, and equitable team member experience at Spring Health.
For our Black or African American team members.
The Black Employee Coalition has over 100 members. Our mission: promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion through continual learning and to acknowledge and celebrate the heritage of Black individuals across the diaspora. The Black Employee Coalition shines a light on the unique challenges that impact Black team members and provides a safe space to discuss and address these challenges. Finally, we seek to educate and create solutions to enhance company culture and equity for Black employees.
Our DEI Task Force is a group of 9 team members across orgs and levels that provide education, initiatives, accountability, and ERG oversight for a true inclusive, diverse, and equitable team member experience at Spring Health.
Our DEI initiatives
Deeper dive into our existing and future plans
Improving hiring and development of underrepresented talent
We’re committed to increasing the representation of underrepresented talent within our Technology and Corporate organizations, as well as within senior leadership positions. We are working towards these goals by working closely with external employment partners and workforce development programs.
Talent sourcing partnerships with external organizations and communities
In keeping with our hiring goals we will be closely partnering with external sourcing partners that are serving the underrepresented talent we’re striving to hire. We’ve launched partnerships with Mogul, Jopwell, and Pursuit. The talent acquisition team is developing a university recruiting program, eventually creating partnerships with HBCU's and HSI's.
Employee Health and Performance and DEI training for all managers
In October 2022 we began piloting a manager training that provided managers with the specific skills needed to promote employee health, performance, and uphold DEI best practices. With learnings from our 2022 pilot, Spring Health launched a new manager training in 2023 - GROVE (growth, responsibility, openness, vulnerability, empathy) - is Spring Health’s new innovative, in house manager training program. GROVE exists to equip all current and potential/future people managers with the foundational skills needed to help leaders and their teams thrive here at Spring Health.
Mentorship program for underrepresented talent
In 2022 we piloted a mentorship program linking underrepresented talent to members of our Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Mentors and mentees were encouraged to include this work in their performance reviews. In 2023, we’re scaling the program to over 300 team members thanks to a partnership with Ten Thousand Coffees.
Supplier diversity program
In 2023, as part of a broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Strategy we've set goals for improving the diversity of our suppliers and tracking company spend against these goals.
Increased partnerships with ERGs to support professional development
In January 2022 we launched our first Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). In January 2023, we scaled from five ERGs to a total of eight. ERGs provide career development opportunities for members and training. In Q3 2023, our ERGs are launching a company-wide allyship and inclusion training.
Hear from
our team
What motivates me? I had a panic attack the eve of my 25th birthday. I knew then, I never wanted to feel like that again. To be part of a mission and team that is doing everything it can to help millions of others everyday to not feel like that or cope with their emotions and feelings might be the most impactful work I ever do in my lifetime.
