I work for a few of the online folks. You guys blow everybody out of the water. I love Spring Health. I didn't want to do AI either, but then tried it, and now I love it.

Spring Health Provider

I'm so glad you guys are doing this - I'm so sick of SimplePractice. Thank you!

Spring Health Provider

I love Compass because it's not too difficult to navigate. It has everything I need. I'm very happy with the reschedule button.

Spring Health Provider

The thing I like most about Compass is just how the pay section is done. It's a lot easier.

Spring Health Provider

I do work with three electronic medical records right now. Compass is definitely the easiest. It gives you exactly what you need to do. I know people like the automated treatment plans. I like the fact that I can cut and paste, and create my own treatment plan.

Getting Started

Will I still see my EAP clients as usual?
Yes, nothing changes for your EAP clients.

Is there a fee to use Compass?
There are no subscription or monthly fees. The only cost is a 3.5% processing fee for online payments (credit, debit, HSA/FSA) for cash-pay sessions.

Do I use the same Compass login for Compass?
Yes, no separate login is needed.

Do I sign a new agreement to see cash-pay and insurance clients?
Yes, you'll sign an updated provider agreement. This gets you all set up for credentialing and billing so you can see both insurance and cash-pay clients through Spring Health.

I received communication about an insurance carrier. Is this just one of the plans Spring Health is partnering with?
Yes, we're always adding new insurance partners. We'll keep you in the loop about new plans and their rates, and you can always choose to opt out of any plan.

What are the benefits of using Spring Health for cash-pay clients if I have my own EHR/billing?
Using Spring Health means you can manage all your clients (EAP, insurance, cash-pay) all in one spot. This can make running your practice a lot simpler! There's no subscription fee to use the platform. The only cost is a small 3.5% processing fee on successful online card payments (like credit, debit, or HSA/FSA cards) your clients make.

What should I do if a client finds me on their own but has Spring Health coverage?
If you have clients who find you independently and have insurance through a plan we partner with, you’re welcome to invite them to book with you on our platform. Once they do, they'll be treated just like any other Spring Health client.

How do I invite private practice clients?
Use the Invite Client feature to send a personalized invitation. Clients can then set up their account and schedule sessions.

Is Compass only for my existing clients, or can I add new private practice clients?
Compass can be used for both existing and new private practice clients. A public-facing directory and personalized booking link will help new clients find you.

Can I start a private practice to keep seeing former Spring Health clients?
Yes! Clients who lose Spring Health benefits can continue seeing you on a cash-pay basis through Compass.

Credentialing & Insurance

How long does the credentialing process take?
The timeline can really vary by insurance carrier—some estimate it could take up to 90–120 days. That said, we’re actively working with each carrier’s credentialing team to try and speed things up as much as we can. We’ll keep you updated along the way.

If Spring Health contracts with a new insurance carrier, can I opt out of seeing their clients?
Yes. While Spring Health contracts with carriers at a group level, you’ll always get to review the reimbursement rates and can choose to opt out of participating in a specific plan if it doesn’t fit your preferences or practice.

Can I be credentialed with the same insurance carrier through multiple EAP or virtual therapy platforms?
It depends on the insurance carrier. Some payers are okay with providers being credentialed under several group contracts, while others might have restrictions. If you’re already in-network with a carrier through another platform, we’ll check out your status and let you know your options and any next steps.

I’m licensed under PsyPact. Can I see insurance clients across states?
Possibly! If you’re licensed under PsyPact, Spring Health will first check your eligibility with each insurance carrier. If you’re eligible to see clients under a specific plan, we’ll let you know the reimbursement details and what to do next. If not, you won’t be enrolled with that plan or notified about it.

I’m already in-network with some of the insurance plans Spring Health partners with. Can I still participate?
Yes! Even if you’re already in-network, we'd still go through our credentialing process with that carrier. This way, you can access our negotiated rates, and we can manage the billing for you. If anything changes, we’ll keep you posted—and if you’d rather not participate, just let us know.

Can I manage both client types in one calendar?
Yes, all appointments appear in the same calendar.

Can my calendar still sync to an external Google calendar? Will Spring Health see my personal events?
Yes, you can manage both your EAP and private practice clients in a single calendar, with the same functionality as you have today. You may sync your external Google calendar, and Spring Health will see your calendar events as “outside events.”

How can I differentiate my EAP and private practice clients?
EAP and private practice clients will be clearly distinguished using different tags on the client profile page and client list, making it easy to stay organized.

Do private practice clients use the same member portal as EAP clients?
Yes, but with some differences. EAP clients may have additional employer-sponsored features like workplace and social care resources. Private practice clients will have access to key features, including scheduling, payments, and Moments.
